Isabelle left her native Scotland in 1965, arriving with her husband in Montreal, Quebec. In 1966 they drove across Canada in a VW Beetle and settled in Vancouver.
Isabelle has an ex tensive art education in Ceramics, Fabric Arts and Sculpture. She completed the Fibre Arts and Sculpture Programs at Capilano College, prior to attending Emily Carr College of Art and Design. She graduated from this four-year program in Sculpture and Photography.
For many years, Isabelle was Associate Director at two prestigious galleries on Granville Gallery Row, a career that provided her with experience in marketing, sales and public relations.
In 2011, Isabelle rented a studio at 195 Pemberton and since then has immersed herself in projects involving found objects. Her plan is to move on to works in bronze.
